As I sat down to write this week’s newsletter, I found myself pulled in a few directions. On one hand, we’ve just wrapped up another insightful Altos Research seminar packed with the latest market data. On the other, we’re fresh from our Photos with Santa event yesterday, where laughter and joy filled the room, thanks to our wonderful clients and friends. And then, there’s something much more personal: the joy and renewal I experienced through my baptism this past Sunday.

This week, instead of diving deep into market data right away, I feel compelled to share a reflection. Buying or selling a home is never just a financial decision—it’s a journey often rooted in faith and hope. These are the same feelings that guide us as we build lives filled with love, security, and significance for ourselves and our families.

Faith, Hope, and Home

During this time of year, we work hard to fill our homes with joy and warmth—planning holiday traditions, decorating, and creating memories. But sometimes, in all the busyness, we forget to pause and reflect. As we pour ourselves into creating a sense of belonging, the stress of the unknown—especially in big undertakings like buying or selling a home—can weigh on us.

For me, this season has been a reminder of the importance of stepping back and leaning on something greater than myself. My baptism last Sunday was a moment of renewal, and it’s made me think about how much of our effort to build love and security is often something we aim to manufacture all by ourselves. While working hard is important, I’ve also learned the power of faith—in God, in the process, and in the people we choose to trust.

Finding Community and Inspiration

Since moving down valley, one of the anchors in our lives has been The Orchard Church in Carbondale. Over the years, it has grown into such a wonderful place of community and connection. Sunday mornings there are truly a highlight —uplifting, thought-provoking, and filled with a sense of belonging. It’s been a steady reminder of what it means to have hope and faith, both in our personal lives and as we navigate the challenges of the world around us.

If you feel like stopping by over the days ahead but aren’t sure who to go with, give us a call—we’d love to have you sit with us!

A Season of Gratitude

As we enter the holiday season, I want to express my gratitude:

  • To our clients for trusting us to help find or sell their homes—a place where memories are made.

  • To our community, especially The Orchard Church, which has been a source of inspiration and hope throughout the year.

  • To my family, friends, and colleagues who make this work so rewarding.

Purchasing or selling a home is not a small undertaking. It often brings unknowns and anxieties, especially during this time of year. That’s why I believe so deeply in walking alongside our clients—not just as their real estate advisor, but as someone who understands the importance of creating a place to call home.

Finding Hope This Season

As the holiday season draws us into decorating, gift-giving, and gathering, let’s also remember the deeper focus: hope. Whether it’s hope for new opportunities, hope for connection, or simply hope for peace, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on what’s truly meaningful to you.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling in 2025, know that I’m here to walk with you, every step of the way.
